Gerlos is the most central ski holiday resort in the Zillertal Arena and offers superb snowboarding terrain and excellent après ski.
The Zillertal Arena is the largest ski area in the Zillertal ski region, itself the biggest in Austria. And with a central location in the Zillertal Arena Gerlos has superb terrain on all sides. Both Zell am Ziller and Konigsleiten are easily accessed from Gerlos.
Surface lifts, the bane of snowboarding are rare in the Zillertal Arena, with an extensive and modern lift system reaching to over 2400m. The Zillertal is famed globally for its snowboarding scene and the Zillertal Arena is no different with park or off-piste action bringing in many locals to the area.
