The snowboard resort of Ellmau forms part of the Wilder Kaiser-Brixental snowboarding area, and offers beginner and intermediate snowboarders a large amount of snowboarding terrain. Ellmau offers a more peaceful alternative than some of the other snowboarding resorts in the Wilder Kaiser-Brixental snowboarding area. The relatively low snowboarding resort altitude means an occasional reliance on artificial snow at snowboarding resort level.
